The palm wine tappery can be visited in an excursion, in which the tapping, the materials used and the various qualities will be explained. Lucas will demonstrate the climbing and tapping of a high palm tree, and finally you will be offered a glass of freshly tapped palm wine.
The excursion takes about one hour and the price is D 100 per person. You can visit Lucas´ palm winery daily from 10 till 12 AM. At this time the wine is fresh and tasty.
Birdwatcher
For bird watcher, Lucas’s palm winery is a nice place. Many water birds reside in and around the small lake behind his winery.
Location
Lucas’s palm winery is located in the green area behind the Badala Park Hotel, at five minutes walking distance. From the Badala Hotel, you walk up to the highway. Here you turn to the right and you follow the highway for about 200 meters. After the last house on your right hand a path leads directly to palm winery.
